Non-coding RNA in hematopoietic development and cancer

MicroRNAs play important roles in hematopoietic differentiation and in immune responses. We have recently made some important inroads into microRNA-dependent regulation of B-cell differentiation and myeloid cell differentiation in the hematopoietic system. Our research points to critical roles played by microRNAs in hematopoiesis and cancer. It's our goal to understand these roles and to determine how we can leverage microRNAs in the diagnosis and treatment of human diseases.
